2017 Pickaline Centennial Conservatory Drama and improv Camps.
Pickaline Productions
offers young actors Drama
Camps for students from
sixth grade to senior year.
Pickaline offers a
Conservatory Camp and
an Improv Camp.
Camps have been held all
over the state of
Minnesota, from the
Twin Cities to Bemidji.
The camp focuses on all
disciplines of theater,
including performance, movement, projection and voice, improv, stage combat, direction, character development and motivation.
The camp is designed to take students through the entire process of being a professional actor: from the dynamics and protocols of auditions to the rehearsal process to the actual performance at the end of the camp. We strive to give the students the exact "feel" and experience of the life of an actor.
We also focus on life skills through acting and how the tenants of acting are applicable to our everyday lives, and vital to our success no matter what field we are in. Effective communication, high level listening skills, being aware of, and control of, how you are perceived, and collaboration and cooperation with many people.
The camp is a conservatory format, which means each day a different discipline will be explored with guest teaching artists from the Twin Cities that are the best in their fields. The students will choose their own performance pieces, and prepare them for the camps final performance.
